Since I can remember being able to walk, I remember being on the stage; mainly in tap shoes, with pom-poms and even a baton once! But it is safe to say I have always been somewhat of a drama queen.
As well as dance, singing, acting and cello lessons I was a proud member of my Sunday School. In fact you could say my first theatrical debut was in Bath Street Methodist Church, playing Shepherd number 1. And after an argument with one of the older girls that a girl could play a shepherd (all for equality even aged 5!) and also then having a fight during the nativity as Shepherd number 2 had stolen my lamb, it was clear that I needed to be on the stage and that nothing would stop me doing so!
So skipping ahead some years, after GCSE and A level drama I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in drama. Having always had a passion for working with young people, over the past 5 years I have worked with various youth theatres and performing arts centre, as a drama teacher in primary and secondary schools and also toured primary schools as a performer.
The B Tales allows me to combine two passions in my life, theatre and my faith.
